Dr. Daniel Adaramola is the Chief Information Security Officer, CISO at SunTrust Bank Nigeria. He is responsible for strategy formulation, strategy execution, and providing thought leadership for the Bank’s cybersecurity program. Prior to joining SunTrust, Dr. Daniel has worked as the CISO of four organizations. At one of the organizations, he was responsible for information security across five geographies including United Kingdom, Nigeria, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. Over the last 15 years, Daniel has served over 20 million global clients, and a total of $120M USD in company revenue. Dr. Daniel Adaramola is an Alumni of City University London, and the European International University Paris. Dr. Daniel is a highly sought technical resource person and has spoken at over 70+ conferences globally. In his Industry Influencer role, he has served as a two-time Executive Committee official of the Committee of Chief Information Security Officers of Nigerian Financial Institutions.

He is also the pioneering General Secretary of the Committee of CISOs in Nigeria. In 2022, Dr. Daniel was ranked Number 19 Globally for Security thought Leadership on the IFSEC Global List of influencers. In the same year he was awarded recognition as a Global TOP CISO 100. Recently, in the city of Bangkok Thailand, Dr. Daniel was conferred with the award of the 2024 Cyber Security mentor of the year, by the International Prime Awards. Daniel is a consistent and disciplined leader. Over the last 10 years he has mentored over 3000 young cyber security professionals, providing free leadership training, and information security mentoring sessions at zero cost to the young participants. In 2019, Daniel pioneered a STEM initiative called the Young CISO Network (https://youngciso.net). The Young CISO Network is currently operating in five African countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Botswana, Uganda, and South Africa.
