Michael is the Group Director, Technology Governance & Control at Equity Group Holdings PLC, where he leads IT governance, IT Strategy management, IT risk management, compliance, IT value realization, IT ressource management, IT performance management and product Governance across the Group. With over 20 years of experience in banking, fintech, UN and general management acumen, His expertise spans IT risk management, enterprise architecture, AI for business, AI governance, financial fraud prevention, Zero Trust security, and IT strategy design & execution, business continuity management, with a strong focus on holistic, value-driven cyber resilience and exponential IT. He has successfully led large-scale security programs, regulatory compliance initiatives, enterprise security architecture development, IT programs and IT governance frameworks, driving risk-optimized, high-performance digital capabilities across Equity Group, WIPO, Ecobank, and Celpay. Michael holds an Executive MBA from IMD Business School, a CIO Executive Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University (expected March 2025), and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Kinshasa. He is also a certified CISSP, ISSAP, ISSMP, CCSP, SABSA SCPR, SCPA, PRINCE2, ISO 22301LI, and Crisis Management (Swiss Armed Forces)
