Sodiq Bello

Sodiq Bello is a seasoned Information Security and Data Protection professional, currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) at LOTUS Bank. He has led several Cybersecurity and Data Privacy initiatives across industries, aligning with local and global standards and regulatory frameworks.
Sodiq holds degrees in Accounting, Risk Management (Nigeria), Information Security & Digital Forensics (UK), completed advanced course in Cybersecurity Risk Management from Harvard Kennedy School, (USA), and received an Honorary Doctorate in Information Security from Maryland State University, (USA) for his research contributions and impact.
His certifications include CISSP, CISM, CISA, CDPSE, CRISC, CDFE, CIFA, PCIP, among others. Additionally, Sodiq is also a key member of the Committee of Chief Information Security Officers of Nigeria Financial Institutions (CCISO-NFI) on industry awareness and intelligence & advisory teams. He is passionate about mentorship and research for advancing cybersecurity and data privacy both locally and internationally.
